When it comes to viewing photos, the Windows photo viewer doesn't look too good. That's because it has limited features and also offers limited support for graphical formats. But when installing the JIBS application, all these change, as this Windows application allows you to view and edit photos in a whole new way. The application doesn't need to be installed but, still, you will need Java Runtime Environment to be installed before running JIBS.

After the program has been launched, the user is presented with a practical and intuitive interface, which allows him to easily view photos. The first thing to do is to select the folder which contains the desired photos. This folder can be either on the hard disk or on an external storage device, like a USB memory stick. After selecting the photo folder, the user will be able to navigate through the photos using a simple vertical slider. There is no maximum limit for the number of photos that can be contained by a folder, when viewing them using JIBS.

Besides manually navigating through photos, JIBS also offers the possibility of displaying all the pictures as a slideshow. There is also a feature for splitting and joining large photos, so they can fit on storage devices with limited capacity.
